This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard personal data in connection with our platform and services.
1. Introduction
1.1 This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors, customers, and users of the LoconIQ platform and services.
1.2 LoconIQ GmbH, with its registered office in Austria, acts as the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR, unless otherwise specified in customer agreements.
1.3 LoconIQ provides an on-premises spatial intelligence and localization platform. In many deployments, data is processed locally within the customer’s infrastructure, and the customer may act as an independent data controller.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account information – such as name, email address, job title, company name, and organizational role.
2.2 Usage information – data related to interaction with the platform, including system logs, access timestamps, device information, and feature usage.
2.3 Operational data – depending on deployment, the platform may process spatial, sensor, or asset-related data. Such data is typically processed on-premises and controlled by the customer.
2.4 Payment information – billing details processed securely via third-party payment providers. LoconIQ does not store full payment credentials.
2.5 Communications – information provided when contacting support, sales, or other LoconIQ representatives.
3. How We Use Your Information
3.1 To provide, operate, and maintain the LoconIQ platform.
3.2 To manage customer relationships, including billing, subscriptions, and contractual obligations.
3.3 To provide technical support and respond to inquiries.
3.4 To improve platform performance, reliability, and security.
3.5 To send service-related communications and, where permitted, product updates or marketing communications (with opt-out options).
3.6 To comply with legal obligations and ensure system integrity and security.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (EU Users)
4.1 LoconIQ processes personal data based on the following legal grounds under the GDPR:
Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
Compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR)

5. Sharing of Data
5.1 LoconIQ does not sell personal data.
5.2 Personal data may be shared with carefully selected service providers (e.g., hosting, infrastructure, payment processing), strictly for the purposes described in this Policy and under data processing agreements.

6.2 In on-premises deployments, customers control retention of operational data within their systems.

7.1 LoconIQ implements appropriate technical and organizational measures in accordance with GDPR requirements to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
7.2 Due to the nature of LoconIQ’s architecture, many deployments operate fully on-premises, minimizing external data exposure.
7.3 Customers are responsible for securing their own access credentials and infrastructure environments.
8. Your Rights
8.1 Under the GDPR, individuals have the right to:
Access their personal data
Rectify inaccurate data
Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)
Restrict or object to processing
Data portability
Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

9. Data Processing Roles
9.1 Depending on the deployment model:
LoconIQ may act as a data controller for account and business-related data
LoconIQ may act as a data processor when processing data on behalf of customers
